About the position
At PTL, we offer competitive pay for CDL-A drivers, with solos starting up to $0.60 CPM and teams starting up to $0.75 CPM base. We provide a long OTR length of haul, which means more time on the road earning and less time waiting at shippers. Our drivers can earn some of the highest take-home pay in the business, with milestone base pay increases based on tenure and additional increases every 50,000 miles with no pay cap. Teams can start at $0.75 CPM and earn increases every 100,000 miles starting from mile one, also with no pay cap. Our routes typically run east of the Mississippi, allowing drivers to be home every 1-2 weeks depending on freight. We have various career opportunities including OTR Solos and Teams, Regional, Mentors, and Owner Operators, along with a paid training program for new CDL-A drivers and a refresher program for those returning to the road.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely and efficiently on long-haul routes
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations
- Ensure timely delivery of freight
- Complete necessary paperwork and logs accurately
- Participate in safety training and meetings
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the truck
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Experience in long-haul trucking preferred
