About the position
The OT Security Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security requirements. This position is primarily responsible for conducting OT Cybersecurity Risk Assessments and tracking remediation efforts to ensure compliance and security within operational environments.
Responsibilities
- Developing risk assessments, remediation, and mitigation plans.
- Helping Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in other teams understand OT Security requirements.
- Advising on the implementation and prioritization of appropriate security controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics required.
- 5+ years of work experience with or next to operational technology.
- Good understanding of SCADA, PLC, and automation networks.
- Deep knowledge of security concepts and frameworks for OT systems, such as IEC 62443 and ISO 27001.
- Understanding of legislation relating to Critical National Infrastructure (NERC-CIP).
- Experience in the implementation of complex solutions in challenging environments.
- Experience working in complex teams.
- Experience as an end user of solutions, particularly in an operational environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of network and system security, system and network configuration, and application security.
- Exposure to the energy industry, especially any dealings with national critical infrastructure.
