Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy programs and activities
- Follow developed recovery plans
- Deliver therapy treatments
- Address the whole patient and see them as an individual
- Execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence
- Adapt to the needs of the patient
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals as necessary
- Ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards
- Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
