About the position

The OSP Communications Ground Hand Laborer at Circet USA plays a crucial role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of outside plant equipment. This position involves working closely with Equipment Operators, Lineman, and Splicers to assist in various labor-intensive tasks, including the handling of cables and conduits. The role requires flexibility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve working on weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Equipment Operators, Lineman, and Splicers in placing, rearranging, and removing poles, conduit, cable lines, handholes, pedestals, and drops.
• Perform maintenance and new builds on outside plant equipment.
• Work with cables and conduit to install lines and cables including strand, fiber, coax, and copper.
• Fill out required paperwork and keep detailed records of work activity.
• Work with Aerial and Underground OSP Construction Crews and perform labor-intensive work as required.
• Adhere to safety regulations and participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical or college degree preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, crawl, and work in various environments including ladders, attics, ceilings, tunnels, poles, and trenches.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Exhibit self-awareness and a tendency for continuing education and self-improvement.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work as a team player.

Nice-to-haves
