About the position
The Ordnance Specialist position is based at the Kuwait Air Force Organizational Level Maintenance Activity, specifically at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base. The role focuses on providing contract maintenance, modification, and repair services for the F/A-18 aircraft and its associated weapons systems. This position requires a combination of technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with KAF personnel to ensure the operational readiness of the aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, testing, inspections, and weapons loading and downloading of the F/A-18.
- Assist the Avionics work center in the performance of weapons release and control systems checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair armament systems and arm, launch, recover, and de-arm aircraft.
- Support on-the-job training and cross-training of KAF personnel.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and repair of military aircraft, specifically the F/A-18.
- Knowledge of aircraft armament systems and weapons loading procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair avionics and armament systems.
- Experience in training and mentoring personnel.
