Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and corrective jaw surgery
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education to patients
- Collaborate with referring dentists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay current with advancements in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery through continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- DMD/DDS degree from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery
- State licensure to practice in South Carolina
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
