About the position
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team and provide exceptional eye care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a strong knowledge of optical procedures and practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and identify any potential eye health issues
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Perform tests to measure visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception
- Provide guidance on proper eye care practices and answer patients' questions regarding their eye health
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records systems
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry practices and technologies
Requirements
- Prior experience in patient care, preferably in an optical setting
- Proficiency in conducting vital signs assessments and aseptic techniques
- Strong understanding of ocular physiology and common eye conditions
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with medical coding and accurately documenting medical records
- Experience working with senior patients is a plus
