The role involves assisting patients with their eyewear needs, managing appointments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with pre-testing procedures.
• Make adjustments to glasses as needed.
• Assist patients in selecting frames.
• Check in and send out lab orders for eyewear.
• Help patients complete necessary forms and documentation, including medical insurance.
• Ensure patient information is accurate, including billing details.
• Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person or via phone/email.
• Schedule patient appointments and collect co-pays and payments.
• Respond to and comply with requests for information.
• Ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled.
• Handle incoming and outgoing patient inquiries.
• Maintain a neat and clean reception area.
• Safeguard patient privacy.

Requirements

• Knowledge of anatomy related to optical care.
• Previous optical experience preferred.
• Sales experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review.
