This position assists with planning and conducting youth education programs focused on fish biology, aquatic invertebrates, aquatic plants, water chemistry, and fisheries conservation. The role involves supporting and participating in off-site outreach events such as career fairs, STEM events, 4-H activities, and community engagement programs. Additionally, the position assists with weekend Family Fishing Days and other special events. Responsibilities include identifying, measuring, and weighing fish samples, as well as entering, proofing, and managing sample data. The role also involves assisting with the maintenance of program ponds through routine monitoring and general upkeep, and assisting with the maintenance and organization of equipment and supplies. A key contribution will be to the development of new educational materials for youth and teachers.
