The Radon and Indoor Air Program is part of the Public Health Toxicology Section, Bureau of Environmental Public Health in the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. This position assists the primary subject matter expert on addressing public health risks regarding chemical, physical and biological agents in the indoor environment. The primary mission of the Indoor Air Part of the Radon and Indoor Air Program is to educate and inform the public about the health risks of indoor air quality issues related to mold, dampness, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, asbestos, pests, etc. This position will help educate and inform the public about the health risks of indoor air quality issues related to mold, dampness, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, asbestos, and other indoor air contaminants; and on minimizing exposure to infectious aerosols inside building through ventilation, air cleaning, and source control.
