About the position

The Roll to Roll Coater Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining roll to roll coating machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality production of coated materials while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of coating processes and equipment maintenance, with opportunities for training available for motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor roll to roll coating machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
  • Set up and adjust machinery according to specifications, including coating thickness, speed, and temperature.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to identify defects or issues, making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, coating parameters, and quality control results.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, cleanliness standards, and regulations in all operations.
  • Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing or machinery operation preferred.
  • Previous experience operating roll to roll coating machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including specifications and manuals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
