About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Operator / Set-up III. The Operator/ Set Up III is responsible for preparing, adjusting, and operating complex industrial production machinery following the established work plan. They perform basic repairs and follow established manufacturing specifications for the product. They adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Automotive or Industrial Mechanics and/or Associate's Degree in Tool & Die Maker.
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing processes, tooling, and intermediate knowledge using Tooling equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Intermediate reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge to read and interpret schematics.
  • Knowledge in processes related to quality, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
  • Basic knowledge in LEAN processes and tools.
  • Ability to interpret and read blueprints.
  • Ability to operate advanced-level production machinery.
  • Knowledge in multiple operational processes.
  • Advanced knowledge in mathematics.
  • Advanced knowledge in product and/or process inspection.
  • Experience in complex mechanics.
  • Intermediate knowledge in parts manufacturing.
  • Experience in advanced-level preparation and adjustment of production machinery.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to plan daily tasks and/or coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and adjust advanced-level production machinery following established manufacturing product specifications and production schedules.
  • Operate production machinery following safety regulations and Production department procedures.
  • Perform basic repairs on production machinery as required.
  • Interpret and apply manufactured product specifications to the operation of production machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery following established schedules and quality standards.
  • Inspect parts following available drawings and/or schematics, ensuring a high level of quality and compliance with product specifications.
  • Adjust mechanical and pneumatic components on production machines, ensuring compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain required documentation up-to-date according to quality systems and department procedures.
  • Identify deficiencies and repair needs on production machinery, ensuring maximum utilization.
  • Maintain records of product and machinery inspections following established department procedures.
  • Use measuring instruments and hand tools to perform adjustments and preparation of production machinery.
  • Perform visual inspections of manufactured product components, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Report any abnormalities in the product or process to the immediate supervisor or designated personnel.
  • Transfer knowledge about the operation of production machinery to personnel within their work area.
  • Coordinate with personnel within the work area any work to be performed on industrial production machinery.
  • Maintain work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may affect employee safety.
  • Handle waste and dispose of it following established company procedures.
  • Ensure safety in the work area and ensure compliance with established regulations and procedures.
  • Comply with established health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Actively participate in meetings with department personnel to discuss operational and/or administrative aspects of the company.
  • Comply with established regulations, policies, and procedures from the Human Resources department and the company.
  • Operate a motor vehicle regularly as part of job duties and/or occasionally operate suspended floor cranes.
  • Discuss key metrics daily with support and production personnel (safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions, and IIOT system usage) via the IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, Tier 1 Board.
  • Maintain and enforce the use of TDM and the PDES system in the manufacturing area through manufacturing floor connectivity.
  • Report problems and anomalies in the Tiers meeting through manufacturing floor connectivity.
