About The Position

The Operator Hoist role offers the opportunity for you to be responsible for conveyance operations such as hoisting of personnel, material, and equipment at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operations. This role is being recruited for an upcoming vacancy and will be fixed-term on a 21-month contract to provide parental leave coverage. This is a local residential role, and the roster will be seven (7) days on and seven (7) days off (12 hours), inclusive of a day and night shift rotation. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $97,000 to $115,000 CAD.

Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Ontario Common Core with a Hoist Certificate
Miner 3 Level Training at minimum.
Ability to administer hoist brake-test and any friction clutch.
Solid understanding of automated and semi-automated hoisting procedures
Exceptional decision-making skills
Superior troubleshooting capabilities

Responsibilities

Transport personnel, supplies and machinery to various mine levels, as directed.
Complete Hoist Operator log books daily.
Review and counter-sign all entries in the Hoist Operator’s logbook for the preceding 2 shifts.
Test hoist brakes regularly, as required by legislation.
