Raft Company WebsiteTysons Corner, VA

About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Operator Enablement Specialist to serve as the connective tissue between our products and the operators who depend on them. This is not a traditional developer relations role — your audience is warfighters, intelligence analysts, and mission planners, not software engineers. You’ll design and deliver training programs, maintain product documentation, run recurring engagement sessions with customers, and support growth initiatives including RFI/RFP responses. You’ll travel to bases, stand up in front of operators, and make sure they can get maximum value from RDP and RAIMS in real mission contexts.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in technical enablement, training, solutions engineering, or a related field, ideally within defense or national security
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong understanding of military operations, C2 workflows, or intelligence analysis processes
  • Experience building training content (video, documentation, hands-on labs) for technical products
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting to both operators and senior leaders
  • Familiarity with data platforms, analytics tools, or AI/ML systems in operational contexts
  • Experience contributing to government proposals (RFI/RFP responses)
  • Willingness to travel to military installations, including periodic trips to Hawaii

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military service or direct experience embedded with operational units
  • Familiarity with streaming data architectures (Kafka, Flink) or knowledge graph technologies
  • Experience with DoD data standards and interoperability frameworks
  • Background in CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, or SOCOM mission sets

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver the Raft Operator Enablement Course.
  • Design a comprehensive training curriculum that includes video content, written documentation, and hands-on operational impact mission scenarios.
  • Travel to military installations to deliver the course in person.
  • Own product documentation.
  • Keep all RDP and RAIMS documentation current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Ensure operators and stakeholders always have reliable reference materials that reflect the latest capabilities.
  • Run customer office hours.
  • Host biweekly sessions (virtual and hybrid, with periodic on-site presence in Hawaii) where you walk customers through new features, answer questions, and gather feedback on product usage in operational contexts.
  • Support growth and capture.
  • Partner with the growth team to write and contribute to RFI and RFP responses.
  • Translate operational value and technical capabilities into compelling proposal language.
  • Be the voice of the operator internally.
  • Bring field insights back to product and engineering teams.
  • Advocate for operator needs in roadmap discussions and ensure our products evolve in ways that matter on the ground.

  • Fully covered healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) and company match
  • Take as you need PTO + 11 paid holidays
