About the position

The Solutions Architect at Citi is a strategic professional responsible for executing the architectural vision for IT systems through complex architecture projects. This role involves developing technology road maps, providing technical leadership, and translating complex business problems into effective technical solutions. The Solutions Architect will also mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while safeguarding the firm's reputation.

Responsibilities

• Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects.
• Develops technology road maps and recommends business directions based on emerging technologies.
• Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
• Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
• Applies hardware engineering and software design theories in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces.
• Provides integrated systems planning and recommends innovative technologies to enhance current systems.
• Recommends appropriate desktop, computer platform, and communication links to support IT goals and strategy.
• Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior team members.
• Influences decisions through advice, counsel, or facilitating services.
• Assesses risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 6+ years relevant experience
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP preferred
• AI/ML experience desired
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Management and prioritization skills
• Ability to develop working relationships
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
• Methodical, attention to detail
