About the position

This position at Cargill involves executing processes and operating equipment in the food ingredients and bio-industrial sector. The role focuses on maintaining a continuous process flow, monitoring product conditions, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. Employees will engage in teamwork, skill development, and communication with peers and management to meet customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Executing processes and operating all equipment of a designated area to maintain a dynamic and continuous process flow.
  • Collecting and processing samples, monitoring tank levels, product temperatures, and pressures.
  • Troubleshooting and operating equipment & instrumentation efficiently and performing routine maintenance.
  • Unloading raw materials and loading finished products while controlling inventory.
  • Promoting a teamwork-focused environment through open communication with peers and management.
  • Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, mobile lifts, and railcar movers as necessary.
  • Moving, dumping, and unloading ingredients in railcars/trucks.
  • Using standard maintenance tools such as power tools and basic hand tools.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety trainings, food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Interfacing with customers and carriers of our products.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
  • Basic use of computer.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Experience working in a production lab, analyzing samples, and collecting data.
  • Prior experience in production-related work.
  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems.
