About the position

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and economical operation of juice production at a local manufacturing facility. This role includes managing various aspects of production such as juice preparation, bottling, sanitation, quality control, and safety. The supervisor will ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain high product quality standards while fostering a positive work environment for employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervises quality control efforts to maintain product quality standards.
• Ensures GMPs and good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout areas of responsibility.
• Reviews and reacts to systems line control data to ensure compliance with specifications and Good Manufacturing practices.
• Responsible for minimizing product and/or material loss through cooperative action with personnel.
• Recommends and implements procedures to promote quality and efficiency.
• Promotes efficient use of available personnel through training and setting standards.
• Ensures employee participation in quality assurance program.
• Holds regular job-site safety meetings.
• Maintains positive employee-supervisor relationships.
• Plans and schedules maintenance work to meet production requirements.
• Coordinates sanitation efforts with sanitation personnel.
• Ensures materials necessary to perform job efficiently and safely are available.
• Inspects equipment to ensure sanitation standards are met.

• Manufacturing management experience
• Employee relations skills

• Mid-level supervising experience
• Mechanical knowledge
