About the position

The Operations Supervisor at Associated Grocers, Inc. is responsible for providing effective leadership, training, and motivation to employees to achieve operational excellence. This role focuses on creating a clean, safe, and productive work environment while ensuring exemplary service to both internal and external customers. The position involves monitoring compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Support the stated customer service objectives and/or key performance indicators.
• Observe procedures to monitor and/or regulate processes, tasks, or activities of employees.
• Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed daily.
• Ensure all employees comply with safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; make on-the-spot corrections of unsafe acts and maintain an inspection-ready distribution center.
• Generate and utilize operational reports through warehouse operations systems such as iWarehouse and Triceps.
• Routinely conduct formal and informal production and safety observations on all employees.
• Schedule and perform meetings (pre-shift, team, and safety meetings).
• Administer and maintain company policies, union contract, and government regulations.
• Coach and train employees to perform their job safely and efficiently.
• Conduct post-accident investigations and submit the report to management.
• Administer appropriate discipline as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint software.
