About The Position

Tessera is seeking a Hard Working and Motivated Operations Supervisor with a positive attitude. This role provides hands-on supervision, coaching, and support to janitorial staff, leads, and supervisors to ensure strong performance and accountability. The supervisor will promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment aligned with company values and contract requirements. They will oversee daily custodial field operations to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall quality standards are consistently met. This position also involves conducting training, coaching, counseling, and performance management, including evaluations, probation reviews, and recognition programs. Assisting with staffing, schedules, and coverage to maintain operational continuity during absences, callouts, and peak workload periods is also a key responsibility. The supervisor will conduct regular quality control inspections and ensure timely corrective actions are completed. They will attend safety meetings and reinforce compliance with all safety procedures, policies, and PPE requirements. Investigating and resolving employee issues and workplace concerns in a timely, professional manner is expected. Serving as a field leader and customer point of contact, conducting site visits and responding to service needs and requests, and collaborating with customers and internal leadership to ensure satisfaction and contract compliance are crucial. Administrative functions including reporting, scheduling, job orders, and documentation, as well as maintaining accurate records related to timekeeping, attendance, training, evaluations, incidents, and operational reporting, will be part of the role. The supervisor will manage supplies, inventory, equipment, and company-issued property including keys, vehicles, and devices. Safely operating and overseeing janitorial equipment and ensuring proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE is required. Support for floor care and custodial duties in the field as needed to maintain service levels, and partnering with vocational and support staff on training, development, and program participation are also expected. Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary. All Other Duties as Assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of custodial, janitorial, or facilities operations experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of custodial procedures, floor care equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards, PPE use, and compliance practices.
  • Experience with scheduling, staffing coordination, and workforce support.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, and customers.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
