About the position
The Operations Scheduler at Q3 Contracting is responsible for strategically prioritizing work and determining resource assignments to create a multi-week rolling schedule. This role ensures that work is performed on-time while adhering to customer, compliance, safety, and operational performance metrics. The Scheduler will maintain a holistic view of work to identify and resolve capacity issues efficiently and cost-effectively, ultimately developing a compliant and executable two-week schedule for field teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan a multi-week work schedule based on evaluation of work demands and prioritization.
- Manage personnel, equipment, and material resource availability over a multi-week timeframe.
- Optimize resource selection to minimize costs and maximize schedule adherence and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze scheduling performance to forecast resource utilization and identify operational improvements.
- Facilitate monthly regional metric review meetings to evaluate performance.
- Ensure all compliance work is scheduled within required timeframes.
- Verify work tasks are assigned correctly based on dependencies.
- Communicate effectively with local supervisors and build partnerships with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in scheduling and resource management in a construction or utility environment.
- Strong analytical skills to forecast resource utilization and identify improvements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and manage conflicts.
