About the position

The Operations Plant Manager at Euro-Wall, LLC is responsible for overseeing the entire production operations of the plant, ensuring efficient and reliable manufacturing processes. This role focuses on managing workflows, inventory control, scheduling, and adherence to 6S principles, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and maintain a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality door and window systems.
  • Manage work order flow to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing waste and reducing inventory holding costs.
  • Implement best practices in stock control and materials management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant workflows, improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
  • Champion the implementation and ongoing improvement of the 6S program to promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Manage the master production schedule in coordination with sales forecasts and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and fulfillment teams to align production schedules with material availability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements focusing on increasing productivity and enhancing safety and quality standards.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor production leads and staff, fostering a positive, high-performance work culture.
  • Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are strictly followed, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and present reports on production KPIs, plant performance, and areas for improvement to the executive team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a plant or manufacturing management role, preferably in the door and window industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing 6S or similar continuous improvement programs.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to changing business and market conditions.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
