About The Position

The Operations Planning Manager is responsible for maintaining the balance between customer demand and operation’s capabilities. Sets up and strives to improve systems for future Raleigh state to include increased volume and equipment.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Paper Science, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience as a leader in operations planning.
  • Computer literate in company systems (SAP), Share Point, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with the SQF Code.
  • Must be able to accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement.
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information with teammates.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment including desktop computers, handheld devices, photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, and voicemail systems.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts to meet production support needs.
  • Must be able to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat, climb, reach, grasp, grip, carry, and maneuver around an office and the production floor.
  • Must be able to work on manufacturing production floor and able to wear all required safety equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lead Team objectives such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Engagement and EBITDA.
  • Establishing the overall replenishment plan, tracking forecast accuracy, defining inventory and safety stock standards, and on-time-in-full-no-errors (OTIF) performance measurement and communication.
  • Leading, coaching and developing our scheduling and logistical teams.
  • Enhancing safety standards, procedures and culture for our logistical and warehouse team.
  • Tracking, ordering and optimizing finished goods and raw material inventories, efficiently scheduling Raleigh production demands for a 7-day continuous operation.
  • Manage offsite warehouse and logistics between plant and warehouse.
  • Raw material planning for yearly budget cycle.
  • Meeting customer needs while maintaining an efficient process.
  • Maintaining the balance between customer demands and operational capabilities.
  • Set up systems for future Raleigh state to include increased volume and equipment.
  • Other job duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
