About The Position

Our company is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable leader to be an integral part of our management team. In this role, you will be the chief motivator, provide direction, mentoring, in the moment coaching and training for your team. This position is responsible for the overall leadership of a "stand alone" local business that is service based, environmentally friendly, and customer focused. Virginia Linen Service, Inc. is a local family-owned linen rental supply and commercial laundry company. Our business provides linen, textile, and hygiene services to the hospitality, first class lodging, healthcare, and small business customers. Our company is dedicated to resource conservation and social responsibility. Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Able to work overtime including Saturdays
  • Must be a quick Learner and eager to learn new industries
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen when required
  • Must be committed to community Involvement
  • Must have Budgeting and P&L experience
  • Must believe in environmental stewardship
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess a positive attitude and possess excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year degree or at least 3 years' experience as a business operating manager

Responsibilities

  • Value and promote a safety minded culture
  • Coordinate and ensure all corporate training and procedure guidelines are being met for all associates
  • Oversee company assets including: Building, equipment, fleet, inventory, accounts receivable (monitoring and collection)
  • Lead in a team-driven environment
  • Manage multi-functional areas, such as: Warehouse, Office Administration, Route Distribution and Outside Sales Departments
  • Lead and motivate by example
  • Conflict resolution and training of staff
  • P&L responsibility
  • Goal setting, delegate and follow-up
  • Communicate professionally with all levels of management
  • Customer Service
  • Sales and Marketing
