About the position

The Operations Dispatch Specialist 1 plays a crucial role in scheduling and dispatching workers, equipment, and vehicles for services outside the business. This position provides administrative support to the operations department, ensuring efficient coordination of resources and communication with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the operations department, including calendaring, correspondence, report development, and meeting planning.
  • Prepares daily work and run schedules.
  • Determines types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
  • Orders supplies and equipment, and issues them to personnel.
  • Monitors personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
  • Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
  • Confers with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four years of related administrative experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
