The Operations Analyst/Associate will support the Senior Vice President of Operations, trading desk, and portfolio managers in the firm's daily operations. This role contributes to a strong risk management culture through collaboration within operations, compliance, and front office employees. The analyst will be responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations, reporting, and ad hoc projects/assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations of cash, trades and positions.
  • Liaise with clients for account onboarding.
  • Resolve trade breaks with executing brokers and custodians.
  • Research and process corporate actions.
  • Responsible for month end and quarter end reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute investor reporting packages.
  • Assist with preparation of regulatory filings or audit requests.
  • Assist with various operational compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests for data, reports and/or analysis.
  • Support LCAM with corresponding number of regulators.
  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Track exception/exemption requests and corresponding approvals.
  • Build awareness, knowledge, and skills and, as necessary, provide communication, practical tools and ongoing support.
  • Analyze the impact and effectiveness of the program through periodic reviews.
  • Support the business/group through internal/external audits or regulatory examinations and assist in development of action plans to resolve any identified issues.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to think creatively and propose new solutions.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Ability to work mostly independently.
  • Good Program Management skills.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration & team skills.
