About the position

The Operational Services Consultant is part of MS AISE: MS Amlin Insurance SE. You will be part of the Netherlands, Belgium and France team, reporting into the Head of Operations & Outsourcing (HOO) based in Amstelveen. You are responsible for the execution of the changes required in processes, systems and business model to successfully deliver the defined strategy of the MS AISE legal entity. The scope of the HOO team includes Outsourcing & Procurement, ESG, Business Continuity Management (BCM) & Operational Resilience, Operational risk & compliance, Property & Facility Services, reporting and project management of initiatives in the operational domain. You have got an active role in driving improvements across these areas. You offer structure to improvement initiatives and support teams to identify possible improvements. You also are a linking-pin and gatekeeper in terms of service level agreement monitoring between MS AISE and its shared service centre.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an up-to-date BCM policy and standard
  • Organize annual training activities for all local crisis management teams
  • Review/challenge/approve all business continuity plans of business critical teams
  • Create the annual self-assessment document to be approved by the management committee and board
  • Ensure that annual scenario testing is performed
  • Ensure that our BAU processes are aligned with Operational Resilience regulation
  • Define improvements in close cooperation with the business, finance, compliance and risk
  • Manage projects within the described scope
  • Manage initiatives within the Operations domain to further improve service delivery
  • Manage the Operational risk profile and ensure operational risks are sufficiently controlled
  • Coordinate the response to operational resilience regulation and other regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Experience and/or strong affinity with operational regulation/legislation within the financial industry
  • Strong service and delivery mindset
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Local knowledge in terms of products, processes and underlying systems is preferred
  • Ability to translate local and legal entity strategy into concrete operational initiatives
  • Understanding of cost containment/reduction and improvement of control

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree
  • 4-6 years' of experience, at least partly in an external consulting environment within banking or insurance
  • Knowledge of insurance products and processes
  • Knowledge and experience in process and data analysis
  • Excellent skills in communication across various layers of the organization
