This position focuses on developing, identifying, and analyzing existing general business processes to ensure sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Applies process definition, improvement, and design methodologies to identify, analyze, and improve business processes which will improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Develops documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analysis.
  • Plans and implements quality assurance and compliance processes.
  • May support development of training and/or change management materials and activities to support new processes and procedures.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area, typically obtained through advanced education and experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Engineering, Business or a related technical field.
  • More than 6 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with continuous improvement methodologies and tools (LSS, PDCA, QA/QC tools, SPC, RCA, CAPA, statistical testing, MSA, time studies).
  • Solid presentation and computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Excel, and Project), statistical software (i.e. Minitab).

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred Master's Degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB)/Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Working knowledge of or hands-on experience developing and effectively using simulation to solve complex business process challenges.
  • Knowledge of project management processes/methodologies.
