About the position

The Operating Room Circulator RN is responsible for providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care in the operating room setting. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while effectively communicating with the healthcare team and ensuring the implementation of solutions for variances from patient goals. The position is a full-time contract role with a pay rate of $68 per hour, starting on December 15th, and has an assignment length of 13 weeks with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Performs other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as an RN in an operating room setting.
• Experience with orthopedic joints and/or robotic surgeries.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Active Michigan RN License.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification from AHA.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
