About the position
The University of Georgia is seeking applications for an open rank, tenure-track faculty position in Manufacturing, Systems, and Automation, focusing on Integrative Precision Agriculture. The position is part of a major hiring initiative and will be housed within the College of Engineering's School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering (ECAM).
Responsibilities
- Develop a vigorous, high-impact, externally funded research program.
- Collaborate with existing faculty and members of the cluster hire.
- Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral scientists effectively.
- Support the teaching mission at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contribute to an inclusive learning environment within the university.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Documented research background appropriate for the appointment rank, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in agriculture or biology.
