About the position
The University of New Mexico School of Law is seeking applications for an Open Rank faculty position focused on teaching business associations, contracts, and other related business and commercial law topics. This full-time position is available for both entry-level and experienced candidates, with a start date in Fall 2025. The faculty member will engage in innovative teaching methods and contribute to a diverse academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in business associations, contracts, contract drafting, business planning, and various intellectual property classes.
- Engage in scholarly research and writing.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and professional colleagues.
- Participate in service activities within the university and the community.
- Contribute to the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of the School of Law.
Requirements
- Possess a J.D. or equivalent legal degree.
- Demonstrated scholarly research and writing ability.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching in diverse settings.
Nice-to-haves
- Two years of post-J.D. legal work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members or other professional colleagues.
