About the position
The Onsite Spanish Interpreter position at Propio Language Services involves providing critical interpreting services to bridge communication gaps in various settings, including healthcare and legal environments. The role requires a commitment to confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards while delivering high-quality interpretation services both in-person and remotely.
Responsibilities
- Provides consecutive in-person and virtual interpretation via phone and video remote services.
- Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio Language Services clients.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interactions with patients, customers, visitors, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.
- Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge for various clients, such as medical, legal, and social services.
Requirements
- Submission of updated Resume in English at the time of application.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Intermediate level computer skills.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP, Seasonal Influenza (Flu), and Covid.
- Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
- A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ years of interpreting experience.
