About the position

The North American Onboarding Learning & Development Portfolio Lead at Alvarez & Marsal is responsible for driving the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the firm's onboarding and talent integration programs. This role combines course design, instructional strategy, and project management to ensure a seamless transition for new hires into the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in instructional design and HR management, particularly within a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to design, execute, and continuously improve A&M's onboarding program.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding learning and development strategy.
  • Oversee the design and refinement of onboarding programs tailored to specific learning objectives.
  • Partner with business units to identify training needs and ensure alignment of learning outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality learning content using instructional design principles.
  • Coordinate with learning business partners to enhance course content.
  • Manage relationships with content vendors and external speakers.
  • Oversee 'Train the Trainer' sessions to ensure course effectiveness.
  • Manage course logistics and participant selection for training sessions.
  • Analyze program and course data to assess impact and drive improvements.
  • Collect and leverage participant feedback to refine onboarding experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years in onboarding, instructional design, or HR management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Articulate and video editing software.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multimedia resources for learning content creation.
