About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dependable MRI Technologist to support overnight and weekend on-call coverage. This is a flexible on-call opportunity for nights and weekends, offering premium pay for on-call availability and worked hours. It's a great option for PRN technologists or full-time techs seeking extra income, supporting 24/7 MRI services while helping reduce call burden on the core team.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) -or- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) -or- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) cross‑trained in MRI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- IV Competency within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of MRI experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI exams per department protocol
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
- Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
- Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
- Provide patient education, comfort, and support
- Operate MRI equipment and related information systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow QC, safety, and infection control protocols
