The Manufacturing Extension Agent (MEA) at the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance plays a crucial role in supporting small and medium-sized manufacturers across Oklahoma. This position involves providing expert guidance and consulting services to enhance business practices, focusing on strategy, processes, and workforce development. The MEA acts as a trusted advisor, collaborating with various stakeholders to foster growth and economic impact within the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide outreach and consulting services to small and medium-sized manufacturers in designated regions of Oklahoma.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with manufacturers, trainers, consultants, and economic development professionals.
- Assist manufacturers in improving their business practices, including strategy, structure, processes, and metrics.
- Collaborate with other Extension Agents and Central Office personnel to deliver comprehensive support to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of job-related work experience in manufacturing, industrial training, or account management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients quickly.
