The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States. This role is responsible for delivering the National Officiating Strategic Plan within the USTA Florida and USTA Caribbean Sections. The focus will be on recruitment, retention, training, and education initiatives to develop officials who are passionate about improving the consumer experience across all levels of tennis. This is a temporary position through December 31, 2026. The ideal candidate will collaborate with National and Section staff and volunteers to define and deliver the Section’s plan for promoting, recruiting, developing and supporting officials with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. This role will also collaborate with National staff on marketing and promotional materials, build strong relationships with stakeholders in the officiating community, and develop programs to support new officials and enhance the consumer experience. Understanding and implementing officiating alignment plans for youth pathways, promoting technology, and supporting the National Officiating Mentoring Program are key aspects of this role. The position requires conducting needs analyses, coordinating workshops, and developing educational materials on tennis rules and regulations. Extensive travel within the USTA Florida and Caribbean Sections is expected.
