About the position

The Office Manager at Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) plays a crucial role in providing administrative and operational support within a diverse network of public charter schools. This position is designed to ensure the smooth functioning of the school's office environment, supporting both staff and students while fostering an inclusive and equitable community. The Office Manager will engage in various tasks that contribute to the overall mission of preparing scholars for success in college and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support
  • Maintain the lobby and Main Office
  • Maintain school supplies and storage
  • Support finance and bookkeeping functions
  • Support key operational systems
  • Collect and enter student and teacher data for state reporting and payroll
  • Serve as a productive member of the BVP community

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in an education agency
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish
  • Excellent computer skills in programs including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Maturity and ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with scholars, parents, colleagues, and community members
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Associates preferred
  • Experience as an administrative assistant
  • Background in data analytics, office management

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree strongly preferred
