About the position

The Office Manager position at the NYS Assembly in Albany, New York, is responsible for overseeing office operations, coordinating legislative activities, and managing interactions with constituents. Responsibilities

  • Handle office operations like scheduling, mail, office supplies, filing, and expense reports.
  • Oversee any interns in the office.
  • Help coordinate Assembly bill management and attend committee meetings.
  • Execute the sign-on process for co-sponsor bill requests.
  • Coordinate press conferences and other events.
  • Schedule and meet with constituents, review materials, take notes, and share with the Assembly member or Legislative Director.
  • Take meeting minutes and assist with additional office tasks as needed.
  • Answer phones and emails and schedule appointments.
