About The Position

The Office Manager is responsible for providing exceptional and friendly customer service, accurate cash handling, and managing various office tasks. This role may involve supervising other office employees in the absence of management and requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment. The position also includes secondary functions such as stocking and selling tobacco products, ordering supplies, training employees, and potentially working with payroll reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional and friendly customer service
  • Perform cash handling activities including accounts receivable & payable, daily bank deposits, ATM functions, soda machine money reports, Western Union transactions, selling money orders, selling lottery items, counting cashier tills, performing safe audits, cash drawer balancing, coupon processing, return check processes, posting charge accounts, and accepting gas and utility payments.
  • Answer telephone and transfer calls
  • Email deposit information to the corporate office
  • Prepare all office reports
  • Operate office machines and equipment including computer, FAX machine, calculator, time clock, VCR, and cash register
  • May supervise & direct other office employees in absence of other office supervision, if so instructed by store management
  • Stock, order, and sell cigarette & tobacco products (depending on location)
  • Provide direction to cashiers in absence of cashier supervisor
  • Order store supplies
  • Train other office employees
  • May work with payroll reports and time cards
  • Operate cashier equipment/systems
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by supervisor
  • Perform all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy
