About the position

The Office Manager at LumApps plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Austin office. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including office management, event planning, and supporting HR functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who embodies the company's culture and values, contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other office managers located in France.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of company events.
  • Prepare, order, and ship IT/office supplies for the office and new hires when requested.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flight and hotel reservations for employees upon request.
  • Handle all correspondence and queries regarding office management and supplies.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.
  • Perform or coordinate office equipment maintenance including organization and repairs.
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers.
  • Provide general support to visitors.
  • Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary.
  • Assist HR with new US employee onboarding and orientation when requested.
  • Support the HR and Admin teams with a variety of ad hoc activities.
  • Manage employee-facing intranet page for Austin office.

Requirements

  • Prior office management experience, preferably at a tech start-up.
  • Google Workspace proficiency.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • An inquisitive problem-solver who approaches each challenge with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working independently when needed.
  • Detail oriented.
