The Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history. Responsibilities

  • Manages documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals, and other transportation-related project documentation.
  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
  • Sets up and operates equipment, orders office supplies, general management of a construction field office, taking and distributing meeting minutes.
  • General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
  • Viewed as competent in all areas.
  • Oversees work of junior-level members.
  • Provides administrative support for the project team.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience in transportation construction on large scale projects as office engineer.
  • Experience with other transportation-related project documentation such as documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals.
  • Proficiency in MS suite (Excel, word, outlook, etc).

Nice-to-haves

  • EIT is desired.
  • New York/New Jersey specific experience.
  • MNRR, LIRR, NJIT, MTA, NYCT experience preferred.
  • Evidence of good potential growth shown by satisfactory performance in past positions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
