About the position
SportsCare and Armworks is currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with an enthusiastic attitude to join our team as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in our Beaverton clinic location for immediate hire. The position involves working directly with a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and participating in a mentorship program designed for newer hand therapists. The role includes treating post-traumatic, surgical, and repetitive strain injuries of the elbow, wrist, and hand, with a focus on providing excellent patient care and communication. The clinic offers a structured schedule with 45-minute one-on-one treatment sessions and a built-in charting/planning slot.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational or physical therapy services to patients with hand therapy needs.
- Conduct 45-minute one-on-one treatment sessions, managing up to 11 treatments per day.
- Participate in a mentorship program with a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
- Utilize custom splinting techniques as needed for patient care.
- Maintain excellent patient care and communication skills while multitasking in a dynamic team environment.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA or APTA curriculum.
- Current state of OR license, current CHT license, CPR certification.
- Experience in splinting preferred, or a strong willingness to learn splinting techniques.
- Ability to act as a coach, guide, and educator for patients.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
