Responsibilities

  • Provide and document therapeutic plans of care
  • Meet with teacher to suggest modifications to adaptive equipment or activities, as necessary
  • Liaise with student's families and other services to plan for the student's transition
  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of short and long-term treatment goals, including collecting data and reporting on progress goals
  • Carry out client's IEP goals and objectives in all relevant training environments including school, community and vocational settings

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Assistant-level license to practice Occupational Therapy in California
  • One year experience as an OTA preferably working with children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques in the assessment and treatment of patient care and safety
  • Valid California Driver's License and Clean California DMV record required
  • TB Clearance
  • DOJ Background check clearance
