About the position
The Observatory Ambassador role at One World Observatory is a dynamic position focused on enhancing the guest experience for visitors at one of New York City's most iconic attractions. This role involves engaging with guests, providing information about the observatory, and ensuring their safety and satisfaction during their visit. The ambassador will play a crucial part in creating memorable experiences for both local and international guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they enter assigned areas
- Ensure the safety of guests while on tour or in assigned areas
- Provide high-level customer service by engaging guests, answering questions, and resolving issues
- Share operational knowledge with guests regarding the observatory layout and experience locations
- Present information clearly and audibly to guests
- Perform other duties as necessary or required by management
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in attractions, entertainment, or hospitality environment
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Ability to engage guests in a busy, interactive environment
- Demonstrated professionalism and customer service skills
- Ability to memorize historical and technical information
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-20 pounds (occasionally 30)
- Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling
Nice-to-haves

- High School or better in a related field
