About the position

The OBGYN position in Coachella, CA involves delivering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The role includes supervising mid-levels and clinical support staff, providing prenatal, intra-partum, and post-partum care, diagnosing and treating disorders of the female reproductive system, and participating in labor and delivery coverage. The OBGYN will also engage in patient counseling, staff education, and public relations efforts, all while serving a multicultural and multilingual patient population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full scope outpatient and inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care.
• Supervise mid-levels and clinical support staff.
• Provide prenatal, intra-partum, and post-partum medical care.
• Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system.
• Initiate referrals to specialists as medically indicated.
• Share oversight of inpatient OB management and care provided by NPs and CNMs.
• Participate in Labor & Delivery coverage and OB/GYN call rotation.
• Counsel and instruct patients on health matters.
• Instruct and educate trainees and/or staff.
• Assist in public relations efforts for the healthcare organization.

Requirements

• Current State of California M.D. or D.O. Board Certified OB/GYN
• Current valid Federal Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
• Current and Valid CPR certification
