About the position
Nuuly is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to enhance subscription revenue through effective merchandise and assortment planning for rentals. This role focuses on minimizing risk, increasing productivity, and supporting company goals related to inventory turnover and stock levels. The ideal candidate will be a trusted leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills, responsible for guiding a team and making strategic decisions based on data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Proficiently use planning tools and systems for strategic decision-making and effective communication of findings.
- Own and execute business recommendations, solving organizational problems based on analysis and experience.
- Ensure class success by meeting key metrics and partnering with the buying team for weekly evaluations.
- Build strong relationships with buying and planning teams, positively influencing team dynamics through clear communication.
- Drive results as a trusted leader, coaching and managing direct reports while providing career development.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning in a retail environment.
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Results-oriented with critical thinking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong time management skills, including managing at least 1 direct report.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong data warehouse skills (EDW, Looker, Island Pacific).
