About The Position

The Nutrition Service Associate Regional is responsible for various tasks within the food and nutrition department. This role involves setting up tray assembly areas, monitoring food temperatures, tallying food needs, and ensuring timely departure from the kitchen. The associate will serve correct food items according to diet orders, handle telephone calls, process diet orders, create tray tickets, relay messages, print computer reports and labels, tally patient meal counts, and complete other clerical duties. Additionally, the position may involve performing diet office functions and preparing tube feedings and snack bags if trained. The role also includes performing a variety of cleaning and organizing activities in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled student in high school or in a high school equivalency program required.
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to count, measure and read simple instruments or gauges.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients, nursing, and guests in regard to meal services.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Successful experience in food service fast food operation, or cashier position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of cleaning and organizing activities, according to procedures.
