The Nursing Secretary at Pyramid Healthcare's Detox and Residential Treatment Center plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of client care through clerical services and effective communication. This position involves interacting with clients, managing phone calls, maintaining patient logs, and coordinating with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the treatment center. The role is essential for facilitating a trauma-informed, person-centered treatment model for individuals seeking recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assists the department in answering and directing phone calls, taking messages.
• Meets, greets and interacts with clients.
• Supports client care delivery by providing clerical services.
• Keeps an up-to-date and accurate patient log.
• Follows instructions from medical staff (Doctors, DON, Nurses) regarding updates and scheduling.
• Arranges discharges by alerting client transportation services.
• Maintains unit supply inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders for supplies.
• Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong skills in D&A and mental health treatment.
• A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, DDAP, and CARF regulations.
• Prior unit clerk or secretarial experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
