About the position
The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the overall operations of the facility, ensuring quality patient care in compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This role involves overseeing financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations, while implementing policies related to patient care and managing the facility's budget.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for overall facility operations.
- Oversee financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations.
- Implement policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff.
- Manage the budget to meet facility needs and division goals.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, local, and JCAHO requirements.
- Serve as the facility's Compliance Liaison.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Prepare and operate within the annual budget approved by RVP and DVP.
- Supervise the team effectively and ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Currently licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in applicable State.
- Three or more years' successful post-acute care experience preferred.
- Certification with American College preferred (ACHCA).
- Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in post-acute care settings.
- Certification with the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).
