Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized short-term training in medical/surgical patient care or provision of special care.
- Completion of a PHS Non-Licensed Assistive Personnel course or equivalent training required prior to placement in role.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of experience preferred.
- Formal medical technician or military training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs specific patient care procedures, including phlebotomy, wound care, gastric and urethral tube insertion, and bedside testing, under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Provides clinical support for the operation of nursing and clinical departments.
- Operates patient monitoring systems.
