About The Position

Schedule Core schedule. Employee will work all days Monday-Friday. Hours: 0600-1430 and 0900-1730 About this unit Lake Drive Surgery Center has 8 operating rooms and 28 nursing unit rooms. We care for both pediatric and adult patients undergoing surgery for multiple different specialties including: eyes, ENT, plastics, breast, robotics, general, GYN, uro -GYN, fertility, colo -rectal, urology, sports medicine, total joints, spine/pain, hand, foot/ankle and vascular. Our patients receive excellent care and enjoy the option to come in for surgery and discharge home the same day, which is reflected in our likelihood to recommend scores. We are a great team that works very closely together to keep the day running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.  Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.  Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 Days or Hire
